Scott Lantz
CEO & Chairman

Scott Lantz is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Sugarmade, Inc. A company he co-founded in 2009. He is responsible for the overall leadership, vision and business strategy of the Sugarmade.

 

Before Sugarmade, Mr. Lantz was Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sales at a new consumer packaged goods company, The Margarita King. In that role, Scott negotiated substantial sales contracts with a number of national retailers, which included Safeway Stores, Kroger, Young’s Market and various state-owned liquor control boards. Through the utilization of his strong business acumen, The Margarita King’s products achieved national distribution.

 

Prior to joining The Margarita King, Mr. Lantz was one of the early hires at Autoweb.com Inc., a publicly traded lead referral website within the automotive industry. Within 18 months at Autoweb, Scott was made Vice President of Sales and Operations and a member of the senior management team. Scott managed and built a 50 person, nationally based sales team, and rapidly grew Autoweb’s sales revenues from $3 million to an excess of $25 million.

 

Mr. Lantz began his career in as a mechanical engineer for Western Digital, a Fortune 500 Company, where he was responsible for product design and quality assurance. He soon took on additional challenges and became involved in market analysis and product design negotiations with additional Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett Packard and IBM. Mr. Lantz holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.


Clifton Leung
Director

Clifton is the CEO and 100 % owner of Sugarmade’s licensor, The Sugar Cane Paper Company (“ SCPC” ). SCPC with annual revenues of approximately $400 million is the world’s largest commercially scaled tree-free paper products producer.


Sandy Salzberg
Director

President of Shasta  Inc., A subsidiary of National Beverage Corporation ( symbol: FIZZ)

 

Sanford (Sandy) Salzberg is a 28-year, consumer package goods executive with 28 years experience at senior level positions in fortune 100 companies consumer packaged goods companies. He has had experience in the domestic and international markets with all segments of retail and wholesale.

 

From 2003 to present, Sanford has held the position of President, Shasta Inc. Over the last 9 years that he has been with the company he has held different levels of functional management with increasing responsibility culminating in his presidency.  Sandy has been one of the many team members that have helped National Beverage grow. Today though organic growth and acquisition, revenues top $600 million dollars.

 

From 1986 to 2001, Sandy was at PepsiCo (Frito-Lay Snack Division) as Regional Vice President, where he was the youngest person to achieve this level of management in company history. At 28 years old he was given the responsibility to manage 3000 employees, 2 production plants, 36 warehouse facilities and $250 million in annual revenues. During his time in this job, he achieved annual growth rates of 15%, which at the time were 2 times the company average.

 

Sandy began his professional career in 1983 at Procter and Gamble (Beverage Division), where he was the most highly recruited candidate from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington in Seattle. He chose industry leader Procter and Gamble as his major sales and marketing training and career development path out of school. He held increasing levels of responsibility in the sales function until leaving the company to pursue a more senior level position at PepsiCo.

 

Sandy has a BA in Marketing from the University of Washington.


C. James Jensen
Director

C. James Jensen is the co-founder and managing partner of Mara Gateway Associates, L.P. Mara Gateway is a privately owned real estate investment company, which owns real estate properties in the Western United States and Hawaii. Additionally, Mr. Jensen is the co-managing partner of Stronghurst, LLC, which provides advisory and financial services to emerging growth companies.

 

Mr. Jensen’s previous business activities include serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thousand Trails, Inc., a national network and the industry leader of private campground resorts; President, Grantree Furniture Rental Corporation, which became the largest furniture rental company in America; and an eleven year career with Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc., serving as National Sales Manager of Australia and New Zealand, International Sales Manager and Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Great Books of the Western World. As President of J J Advisors, LLC, Mr. Jensen has also provided full service sales and marketing support to select luxury master-planned communities.

 

Mr. Jensen is an active member of the World Presidents’ Organization, a current director of The Institute of Noetic Sciences, and a past director of the Boys and Girls Club and the Leukemia Society of America. He and his wife, Jeri, have been married for 45 years and have four children and two grandchildren. The Jensens reside in Bellevue, Washington.


Edward Roffman
Director

Mr. Edward Roffman is an Independent Director of Sugarmade. Mr. Roffman was recently appointed to the board based on his personal and professional qualities, including his proven integrity, achievements in financial and accounting matters, absence of conflicts of interest, demonstrated sound judgment, overall business understanding, and available time to dedicate to the role. Mr. Roffman is a director of, and chairs the audit committee of, Westinghouse Solar (WEST), a designer and wholesaler of solar panels. 

 

Since October 2010, Mr. Roffman has been the Chief Financial Officer of Public Media Works, Inc. PMW is in the process of rolling out a network of conveniently located self-service kiosks which vend Blu-Ray Discs and DVDs for rental in retail locations under the trade name "Spot. The difference™". Mr. Roffman also is a principal of Creekside, LLC, a consulting firm which specializes in the software, internet and consumer products industries. Mr. Roffman served as Chief Financial Officer of Red Mile Entertainment, Inc. from January 2005 until April 2006 and at Fluent Entertainment, Inc. from February 2003 to December 2004. Both companies were consumer software developers and publishers. Mr. Roffman is a CPA with over 35 years of experience in accounting and finance. Mr. Roffman earned a BBA in accounting from Temple University.
